Allison M Charette, Ed.S.
Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Allison has 10 years of experience working with children and young adults with a variety of abilities, and is well-versed in personally tailoring assessments to tap the strengths and weaknesses of individuals dependent upon the referral questions, interpretation of test results for parents and students, and in providing specific recommendations for intervention. In addition, Allison feels that it is important to be available to families throughout the entire evaluation process, which includes advocating for the student’s needs within the school setting after results have been presented to the family. Often times psycho-educational evaluation reports are provided to parents, but no real bridging support is offered to the parents in terms of what the student requires to be successful within the school setting.

Allison also has a history of working in local Indianapolis area school systems and has expertise regarding Department of Education rules and regulations, particularly those affecting children with special needs. Allison will be able to assist parents in communicating test results for school staff and advocating for accommodations or support services as needed. Allison has extensive experience with providing assessments and recommending eligibility for special education supports and services per Article 7 guidelines (Indiana Special Education Law). She is always available for follow-up questions after the evaluations have been completed, and/or assist with follow-through on recommendations.
